You scrolled, you explored, and now… where’s your car again?
We’ve all done it—pinched and zoomed around the map to check a random area or chase down a curiosity. But once you’ve gone sightseeing, it’s easy to lose track of where your vehicle actually is. That’s where the Recenter Icon steps in like a trusty “reset” button.
What does the recenter icon do?
In short: it puts your vehicle back in the center of attention.
Whether your vehicle is:
parked,
on a past trip,
or currently cruising along a live trip,
…the recenter icon will snap the map back to that vehicle’s current or selected state—no matter how far you’ve dragged away.
It works a lot like Google Maps’ recenter button—because if it ain’t broke, don’t reinvent it.
When should you use it?
You’ve been scrolling around and want to return to the trip view
You tapped on a geofence or a random pin and lost track of your device
You’re watching a live trip but manually moved the map and want to catch back up
Just tap the recenter icon (usually floating neatly in the corner), and boom—you’re back in line with your selected device’s location and context.
Final word
It’s a small feature, but one that makes a big difference when you’re exploring data-heavy maps. With a single tap, you’re grounded again—no GPS pun intended (okay, maybe a little).
