Think of the Device Card as your personal command center for each tracker—whether it's a ShadowAuto (OBD) or ShadowTrack (Non-OBD). Right from your Home Screen, these cards pack a powerful set of features designed to keep you in control without ever opening a deep settings menu.

Here’s what each card offers—and how to make the most of it.

Device Name & Location

At the top of every card, you'll see:

  • The device name (customizable, of course).

  • For ShadowAuto devices, the connected vehicle’s name is shown.

  • The last known location and timestamp are listed just below—because knowing where your vehicle was last seen shouldn’t require detective work.

Device Status & Icon

On the left side, you’ll spot the device or vehicle icon (based on device type).
Right below that, you’ll see the current status, which varies based on device type:

  • ShadowTrack (Non-OBD):

    • Parked

    • Motion

    • Live (active pinging)

    • Power Off

  • ShadowAuto (OBD):

    • Parked

    • Driving

    • Live

    • Disconnected

Each status gives a quick pulse-check on what your vehicle is up to—even if you’re not.

Navigating Cards

Each device in your account has its own card on the Home Screen.

  • Swipe horizontally to switch between them.

  • As you change the card, the map updates to show that device's most recent location.

  • This lets you quickly move between vehicles without losing context.

At the end of the scroll, you’ll find the “Add” card—a shortcut to add a new device or vehicle to your account in just a few taps.

⋮ Three-Dot Menu: Quick Actions

On the right side of the card, tap the three-dot icon to reveal a set of useful shortcuts:

  • Device Details

  • Vehicle Details (for ShadowAuto only)

  • Share Access

  • Notification Settings

  • Rearrange Cards — Want to prioritize your daily driver? Use this to reorder how device cards appear on the Home Screen.

Card Sections: Features That Go Deeper

1. Recent (All Devices)

Open by default, this section shows your most recent trip. Tap it and you’ll jump straight to the Trip Timeline, already focused on that trip.

2a. Battery (ShadowTrack only)

See your device’s battery level at a glance.
Tap into it for a deeper view:

  • Switch between daily and hourly breakdowns.

  • Spot trends and know when it’s time to charge.

Helpful tip: If you're noticing shorter battery life than usual, checking the hourly breakdown can help identify if it’s signal-related or usage-related.

2b. Vehicle (ShadowAuto only)

This section comes with three icons:

i) Fuel Level
Click to view your daily or hourly fuel usage.
The chart also shows which device was connected during each reading—a great way to spot any inconsistencies or dips.

ii) Vehicle Battery
A healthy voltage means peace of mind. If your car’s battery dips too low (below safe levels), you’ll see a warning icon (!).
Tap it to dive into details—whether it’s time to act or just keep an eye on it.

iii) Engine Health (DTC Errors)
No one likes a check engine light—but we make it less mysterious.
If there’s an active Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC), we’ll show the code and description right here.
Otherwise? You’ll see a clean “All good” message. That’s what we like to see.

3. Share Location (All Devices)

Want to temporarily share your location without granting full access?
Use this feature to generate a secure link, set a timer, and send it to whoever needs to track your device short-term. Great for:

  • Coordinating with delivery recipients

  • Sharing ETAs

  • Keeping family members informed

Final Thoughts

Device Cards aren’t just a summary—they’re your daily dashboard.
Quick access to location, health, recent activity, and sharing—right from the home screen. Whether you're monitoring a personal car or managing a dozen vehicles, everything you need is just a swipe and a tap away.
