Every trip, mapped and mastered.
ShadowGPS’s Trip Timeline isn’t just a history log—it’s your device’s memory lane. Whether you’re reviewing a cross-city delivery, checking where your teen drove last night, or confirming if your car was really parked all afternoon, Trip Timeline lays it all out—visually, clearly, and with a few smart extras.
So, what exactly does the Trip Timeline do?
At its core, Trip Timeline helps you see your device’s travel history day-by-day. You’ll get to review all trips made, moments your car was parked, and a breakdown of important driving stats. And yes—it’s all synced to your chosen time zone, so “5 PM” actually means 5 PM your time.
When you land on the Trip Timeline page, here’s what you’ll see (and love):
The Map View:
This section shows your device's current location, your location (in case you're wondering how far apart you are), and the full trip route taken for that day. Use the map layer icon to switch between map styles, the re-center icon to bring the map back to your vehicle, and the speed legend to understand how fast the vehicle was going at various points in the trip—color-coded for quick reading. You can even customize the speed bands and thresholds to match your own definitions of “fast.”Device & Date Navigation:
If you have multiple vehicles, simply tap the arrow to switch between devices. Need to review yesterday’s trip or one from three weeks ago? No problem—use the calendar or scroll through past dates to pick the day you want.Trip & Parked States:
For each selected day, you’ll see whether the vehicle was driving or parked, and when. If the vehicle took multiple trips that day, you’ll get a clean breakdown of each.Trip Summary & Score:
ShadowGPS automatically generates a summary of your vehicle's day—total distance, duration, number of trips, and even a Trip Score to help you understand driving behavior at a glance. Want to relive the trip? Tap “Play All” to watch it unfold right on the map.Timeline + Events:
You’ll also see a timeline with granular details of your day—start times, end times, alerts, and events like harsh braking or rapid acceleration. Basically, if your vehicle did something, it’s probably here.
Why does this matter?
Because context matters. It’s not just about where your vehicle went, but when, how, and under what conditions. Whether you're a business tracking fleet activity or just someone who forgets where they parked, Trip Timeline gives you a smarter, clearer view of every day on the road.
