Device location is not updating?

There could be a few reasons why your device is not updating location:

  1. No GPS Signal (Garage or Tunnel)
    If your vehicle is parked in a garage, basement, or tunnel, the device may lose GPS signal and stop sending location data. It will automatically resume once the vehicle is back under open sky.

  2. Network Issues (Device Side)
    If the device is experiencing poor network coverage, it may temporarily stop sending data. This usually resolves automatically once the device regains a stable connection.

  3. Subscription Expired
    If your subscription has ended, the device will stop sending data. Please verify your active subscription status from the Subscriptions tab under Profile.

  4. App-side Network Issue
    At times, the app itself may not refresh correctly due to phone network fluctuations. Try closing and reopening the app.

  5. Reconnect the Device (For ShadowAuto – OBD Devices)
    If you're using a ShadowAuto (OBD) device, try unplugging it from the vehicle and plugging it back in to reinitialize the connection.
